Newly elected Cornet Christopher Tait led a cavalcade of young riders up the Kirk Wynd on Sunday the 14th of May for their annual sponsored walk.
A group of more than thirty-five eager youngsters took part and raised a staggering £2,624 for the Young Riders.
Christopher, who was a Young Rider himself, was flanked by his Right- and Left-Hand men, Ruairi Hotson and Henry Jeffrey.
The route took the group up the Kirk Wynd and along the Burny Braes, before following the road up to the monument. As per Common Riding tradition, the group circled the monument three times before descending Whita down the face via Whita Well.
The youngsters were treated to an ice cream from Pelosis van on their arrival back in the Market Place.
